Just a few pictures of my adorable grandkids. This is Owen in his Halloween outfit and Sophie just coloring some pictures for grandma

Learning To Post Pictures

Much of what you see won't make much sense since I am just now learning how to post pictures. Yeah I am not computer savy at all and I am the first to admit it.

HEAT WAVE

Oh my goodness I just looked at the thermometer and we are having a heat wave, it is all the way up to ZERO. I just might have to don my bathing suit and go out and get some rays, because the sun is actually shining quite nicely. When we went to bed last the the temp was -16. Yikes it was cold. I was just glad I didn't have to be out in it, unfortunately Ross wasn't so lucky. He works until 11pm so he was heading home in that frigid weather. I have Vivian and Sophie for a few days. Macy went to the hospital late yesterday afternoon to be induced, so we are hoping to hear something soon. Vivian was soooo excited to have a sleepover at grandma's. Hope she is as excited about a baby brother. I think Viv is excited, but not to sure about Sophie. She is more of a mama's girl than Viv ever was, so we will see how she reacts to sharing mommy. Anyway hope we will warm up soon.

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas 2009

I know, I know, everyone is over the holidays, but for me the shopping is just starting. I love to shop early. I have already found lots of great deals. You see I'm not sick of shopping because I didn't wait until the last minute to make my purchases. Now I know some of you like the hustle and bustle of the mall in December, but I would just as soon put a gun to my head. I don't like all the crowds. I like to walk into a store and shop at my leisure and if I see something, I don't want to have to wrestle someone else to see who gets it first. You know me I am more of the laid back kinda person. I just love shopping for a bargain. It gets my adrenaline running. But most of all I like having everything done early so I can enjoy the holidays and not feel the strain on my brain or on my purse. You all should try it. You don't know what you are missing!!!!

AHHHHH

Well the holidays are over and as much as I love getting ready for them I am always ready to get back to normal. Well as normal as we can be!!!! We had a great Christmas, but I missed not having all the kids here. We share the holidays as most do with the in-laws. I am getting use to it, but it is always great when everyone is here. Macy and Natalie were both home this year so that made it good. Ross and I slept in til 9 o'clock. I am sure that is the latest we have ever slept on Christmas in our lives. It was wonderful. The girls came over aroun 11 and we had brunch and opened our presents. We headed down to Ross' moms around 3pm. Oh yea before we made it to his mothers, Ross successfully ran us into a horse fence and the ditch. Unless I forgot to mention we had an ice storm a week before and the back roads were still a sheet of ice. So of course we were on a road that had not been traveled on, I mean why would it, it was like someones driveway, and we or I should say HE couldn't get slowed enough to make the turn and we slid right into the ditch and fence. I am just glad it was his car and not mine. So his bumper is pretty messed up. That is the second time he has gone in the ditch on Christmas day going to his mothers. Needless to say no one is going to want to ride with him on Christmas, at least not if they have a brain in their head. Ross got a Wii for Christmas and he loves it. He is like a little kid when he plays. Or maybe he really is reverting to his childhood? Anyway it was a good day.
Vanessa surprised us with a visit home on the 30th of Dec. She was here until today, the 3rd. She missed us so much, no really she had some time off work that wasn't anticipated and decided to surprise us. It was great. They will be home for good this summer since Ryan will be done with Dental School. I can hardly wait. Hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas.

Back Home in Indiana

Well after being gone for a month I am back home. It felt so good when I walked in the house after being gone for so long. I had a great trip, but as Dorothy says "There's no place like home."
Ross and I flew to Salt Lake on Nov. 3rd to see our new grandsons. Oh they are just the cutest and most adorable little boys. Ross stayed until Sunday evening and then flew down to Vegas with Vanessa for a few days and then he had to come back home to pay for the rest of my vacation. At least that's the story he tells, Ha Ha.
I stayed for two weeks with Whitley and her new husband Brent, and then was able to go and visit Ben and Jocelyn and the boys. It was a great two weeks except for the 3 days that I was sicker than I have been in like FOREVER. I then flew down to Vegas to stay with Vanessa and Ryan for 2 weeks. The weather was great, but really didn't put me in the holiday spirit. Just a little too warm for Thanksgiving. Whitley and Brent drove down for Thanksgiving weekend with us so it was a great time.
Anyway I flew home on the 3rd of Dec. and feel like I have been going nonstop since I got home. Thanks heavens the Christmas shopping was done. I finally finished all the wrapping today so maybe things will slow down just a bit, but I doubt it. Ben has been interviewing for Dental school so that has been exciting. Can hardly wait until I know where they will be for the next four years. I am really hoping they will be close to us so we can see these new little grandsons more than once a year. All in all life is good and its good to be home
